If I could afford a different option for a media server I would happily ditch this, and would have done so over a year ago. I guess we should be happy they still support it so well but every update tends to be a headache. Thanks for any feedback. Most frustrating piece of tech I have ever owned. Im also preparing Windows Subsystem for Android support for adbLink which will be in an upcoming release.

Couldn't restart wifi and had to restart the shield. adbLink is used to connect/manage android devices. WiFi worked immediately after the update but when sitting down to watch some YouTube yesterday it said WiFi was off. Before you use ADB, you must enable debugging on your Fire TV device, and set up ADB on your computer.

Usually I have to redo some aspect of that after an update. You can use Android Debug Bridge (ADB) to connect your development computer to an Amazon Fire TV device or stick for installing, testing, and debugging your apps. Can't add it in Windows and the two wifi and FTP apps I normally use won't connect. I cannot see it at all on my network anymore.
